As a parent, I think all websites like myspace should be banned from schools. Your not there to chat with your pals, your there to learn. Not only that, some parents do not allow their children to go onto websites like that at home so they sneak and do it at school. (which I strongly disagree with)

Bottom line is that there is too much crap on the web to just set our kids free to explore!

cos they distract people from doing their studies (and it's a sad fact) and also it promotes the use of text speak which is getting beyond a joke.

Because people will start making fun of other students, and it will take away from their studies, and a big problem will arise.

I think it for one distracts from studies. And also I dont think schools want to be liable for anything that could happen to a kid on the computer. If say they met a guy on the internet and get murdered. You would see alot of angry folks! Myspace is a thing now. I had a myspace back before it was everywhere! I dont have one now. Its very addicting. I look at my friends who do have one and all they do it talk about their myspace account. I bet if it were aloud on school computer that would be one of the most viewed pages in the computer history. You cant do anything now days with out someone talking about it.

School is a Place for Education, Myspace has no educational value, Also There is alot of "inappropriate" Material posted on that site, not Sutable for school.
