This is my new standard format response for myspace users. First, if you had spent more time studying while you were in school, you wouldn閳ユ獩 have to ask questions about myspace. Chances of you being a prep-school/private school kid and not having one-on-one supervision while you update your myspace is about 4 million to 1. If it really is that important that you have to access it during school hours, why even go to school? Ask mommy and daddy if you can stay home tomorrow and flirt with child predators online. I am sure they won閳ユ獩 mind. Lastly, if this standard format response does not apply to your particular myspace question, oh well, I guess I won閳ユ獩 have you on my top five list, huh?

If you know how to write any HTML, you might be able to get around that with iframes, depending on your browser and some other factors. Just put the site you're trying to access as the src of the iframe, then the remote server will be fetching it and not your local computer.

Three options:

Best one is go to www.peacefire.org and sign up for their mailing list. They'll send you a new web proxy site every week or so, faster than they can generally block 'em.

Second best is set up your own. They've got instructions on peacefire, it's not really that difficult.

Worst option (very slow) is use mine. I've got them disguised as google. For non-SSL sites go to 6oogle.computersforpeace.net or 600613.computersforpeace.net, and for ssl it's SSL6oogle.computersforpeace.net and SSL600613.computersforpeace.net

go to google and type in myspace. then this link appears to their website click it, it should work, if it doesnt go to google languages and switch it to spanish or another language and type the same thing u did on english version and click on the link u did before. for ex. clicked the 2nd link, click the 2nd link. unless u know that language. it should work. it worked for me. make sure u switch it back to english google. lol.

I don't know of any website to override the blocker the way we get to it at our school is google images. We type in names of pictures and when you click on the picture once, there is a website at the bottom of the page. Type in spitfire and keep going until one of the pictures has a link under it going to myspace. Click on the picture, and on the next page you click on something on the bottom part of the page. Actually all the people that have said it can't be done it can. I'm going to tell you a few ways to do it. Now given that it may be kinda slow loading, but you will get there.The ways I am going to tell you involve Internet Explorer and Firefox, and depending on how you computer is set up you may have to use Firefox.

The way with Internet Explorer: First open a new window. Next you need to click on tools. Then go down to Internet Options on the dropdown menu and click on it. Next click on the Connections tab in the Internet Options Window. Click on the button that says LAN Settings. In the LAN Settings Windows click the box that says "Use a proxy server for your LAN". The box that says Address should now be white. Then click in the white space and enter "195.175.37.70" without the quotes. then click the white port box, and type "8080" without the quotes as well. Click ok in the LAN Settings Window. Then Click ok in the Internet Options Window. Your all set and you can go to myspace. Just don't forget to change it your LAN settings back.

For Firefox I am using the newest version. Open a new Window of Firefox. Click Tools and go down to Options and click it. Then at the top of the Options Window, where it says Main, click on Advanced. Then click on the Network Tab then in the connections box click Settings. Click the Manual Proxy Configuration bubble in the Connection Settings Window. In the HTTP Proxy box enter "195.175.37.70" with out the quotes and in the Port box enter "8080" with out the quotes. Check the box that says, "Use this proxy server for all protocols". Click the ok button in the Connection Settings Window. Then click the ok button it the Options Window. Thats it for the Firefox way of doing it. Just make sure to change everything back.

Now the instance that the Internet Explorer way would not work is if when you click Internet Options in the Tools menu is says "You do not have sufficient privileges to access this menu", or something along those lines. In that case you would have to download Firefox. So if you just Google "download Firefox" without the quotes. Click the link that says "Firefox - Rediscover the Web" and then just download it.

Your school does not want you to access that website while you are there. It is unlikely that you will be able to, assuming their filtering software functions correctly.

The reason should be obvious to you. Not only is myspace.com not remotely related to your studies, allowing you to access it at school could open your district to legal liability should something happen to a student on that site during school.
