Go to your "Sent" mail. If the message that you sent to him is there with "Sent" or "Read" next to it, he got the message. If it's not in your sent box you were blocked.

add him then go to pending requests ,if it still there it means he didn't block u, but if its not there he blocked. but if hes your friend already then of course he didn't block u
