There are plenty of proxies to use. However, if your school is like mine, a majority of those proxies are blocked. The one we're currently using here is www.rubberstereo.com. But there are plenty of them out there.

Had the same problem. My school's computers had GateFilter, a program that blocks pages based on their probability to have anything considered mildly illegal, like Gambling and Nudity. Of Course harmless sites got caught in the way, like hi5 and Hotmail or Lil Kim's page on Wikipedia, or even on the off day, George W Bush on Wikipedia. It really did happen. But the school didn't care. So we got round it using proxy servers like www.hidemyass.com. Easy. It attaches to your browser and acts like the left hand not knowing what the right is doing. Have fun.
