Myspace blocked?!!?

I'm having MySpace withdrawals...can you help? My college apparently has some very active and intelligent techs. I can't get on MySpace no matter what I do.

I'm on Peacefire.org's proxy notification list and on Yahoo's Proxinbox email list also. As soon as I try them, they are either blocked, or blocked within a few minutes.

Also, I thought I'd use my personal laptop and use their wireless. It appears as though *all* ports, but port 443 and 80 are blocked. When I put in my own proxy settings in the browser, port 443 don't work at all. I even tried SOCKS proxies...nothing. All my access if filtered.

Any ideas? They block the new sites too fast!

There is a reason why they block those websites. I don't agree with that reason. Try going off campus and using a cyber cafe, library, or bookstore's web access.

I don't know anything about technology so i can't really help you there except to say go to the administration (like res life) and voice a complaint. Blocking MySpace is stupid, who does that?!

I assume you pay for college, and not just a little. Complain until they lift the ban. You are an adult now, and they should not treat you this way.
