i dont understand why Tom would turn off profile trackers...! its a great tool to see who stalks u... i dont see what you could possibly do bad with it if you had one.

The people it said had visited your myspace didn't actually view it. Those sites used your login info to turn your myspace into another advertisement for their "profile trackers."

Your friends didn't really want to advertise them to you, it was the people running the tracker sites hacking into their myspaces and spamming all their friends.
The people running myspace are trying to reduce spam as much as possible, so they're refusing to allow anymore of these sites take over people's myspaces.
Avoid using them, if you want your myspace to be spam free.

You know you've seen those lame comments on people's profile about profile watchers, and stalker programs, etc. It's all a bunch of fake junk tricking people into entering their myspace login so they can spam stuff on your profile.
These people will take over your account and use it to spam.
