MySpace Blocked by Verizon Fios?

I have recently tried to access myspace using my computer; which I had been able to in the past few months. But yesterday, the page said that myspace had been blocked by Verizon Fios. Which is odd because it is accessable to the main computer closest to the modem and laptop upstairs. but not to mine, also upstairs.

I have tried resetting the modem several times and nothing has worked. Should I call Verizon Fios? Or does anyone have any tips?

I have Verizon FIOS and it does not block websites.

But I was just reading about the router.

Its possible your parents blocked MySpace so you can't go there. There is software that can block websites also.

They may be concerned because there are some men on MySpace that want to talk to younger girls and will pretend to be younger.

Even my son was tricked when he was in 7th grade into giving his password to a friend for 'cool pictures' and they guy filled his space with Devil images and pretended he was my son and emailed his girlfriends So it happens believe me.

So if your parents are concerned, read about MySpace safety.

Make your website private so no one can see it. Let them get to know your friends so they can check on fake friend requests. They are only concerned about your safety.

I'm not sure they did it, you should talk to them about it and make them feel you will be safe there and know about internet safely. My son's school had a class about it and now that he's in 9th grade, he learned the hard way about internet jerks and is careful now.

If you are the one who owns the router and network, then login and reset. If you are NOT the one who owns it, someone blocked the website for your computer only.

You can unblock websites with a proxy, here are a few:

These are my favorite mainly cause these have good servers hosting them and they don't have pop-ups.
