besides, you can stand a few hours away from it, maybe the rest of your friends are at work too and wouldn't put anything new on their myspaces then

All depends what method they've used to block it. Friendly with anyone in the IT department? Go talk to someone there and ask what the go is and that will give you an idea if there's any way around it.
